Marketing issues include making the site easy to use and navigate through, giving your visitors reasons to come to your site, links with other sites, and search engine registration.

Phase III - Web Site Hosting - $25.00

The fee includes setting up a new web hosting account with a Web Host Provider , or upgrading an existing personal account to a web hosting account. Domain Name - $10.00

If you don't already have a domain name, you will need to get one. The cost is $10.00 per year. These fees cover domain name searches (to insure your choice isn't already taken) and domain registration.

Phase IV - Web Site Promotion

Web site promotion includes designing an interesting, easy to use web site that offers something to your users. Once a visitor comes to your site, you want them to come back, and you want them to recommend your site to others. If they have a web site, and if they feel your site will be of interest to their visitors, you want them to include a link to your site. This aspect of web site promotion is included in the basic design.

The other aspect of web site promotion is letting people know about your site, and getting them to come there the first time. This aspect generally includes registration with search engines. Other options include encouraging other sites to link with yours, banner exchanges, inclusion in online communities, etc. Which options you use will depend on the purpose of your site, and its target audience. Of course, there is also your part. Put your web site and email addresses onevery piece of business stationary you have. This includes business cards, invoices, receipts, quotes, proposals, and of course, all you're advertising.

Pricing:
  • Search Engine Registration - $150.00
  • Banner Exchange Registration - $15.00 per exchange company, includes one custom designed banner. $10.00 per additional banner designed
  • Inclusion in Online Communities - $25.00 per community if using existing web pages. New pages will be designed, or existing pages modified at the rates described above. Pages designed or modified for one community can be used for other communities with no additional design fees.
  • Encouraging Links at Other Sites - To be discussed

Phase V - Maintenance

Your web site advertises your business, and is more flexible than most other forms of advertising. You can modify it on your schedule, not someone else's. You don't have to wait for a commercial to run its course, a new book to come out, or a new issue to be released. You can make major changes, or minor modifications. And you can make some, many, or all of the changes yourself, if you feel up to it. Understand that once your web site has been fully paid for, it's yours. You are under no further obligation to us, though we would of course prefer to keep your business.

We offer several maintenance options, falling into three main categories:

  • Web Hosting
  • Web Site Upgrades
  • Technical Support

Web Hosting - There are various administrative functions associated with a web hosting account. What they are varies somewhat from one ISP to another. We will be happy to explain them to you, and walk you through their use. We will also show you where to find, and how to use any online help that your ISP offers. If you prefer, we can handles these tasks for you. This can be done on a fee per incident basis, or we can develop a support contract. Maintenance contracts are also available. Maintenance contracts differ from support contracts, in that they include regularly scheduled tasks, for example, monthly reports on site usage.

Web Site Upgrades - Your web site should be upgraded periodically, the more frequently the better. You want to keep your visitors' interest. You want them to keep coming back to see what's new. If you include pricing, or product descriptions, you need to be able to modify them as needed. If you receive feedback from your visitors (via a form or email), you want to incorporate many of their ideas, making your site better and better. The cost for modifying a page will, of course, depend on how extensive the modifications are. If you are anticipating many modifications we can design a support agreement, charging a reduced hourly rate instead of per page fees. You might want to make frequent, minor modifications yourself (i.e. price changes), in which case we can provide any training you need.

Technical Support - In addition to support and maintenance agreements, we can also provide manuals and training. We can help you learn how to get the most out of your web hosting account, and how to handle administrative tasks. We can also teach you how to make minor changes to your web pages, and how to upload those changes to your web site. Once training is completed, we remain available for any technical support questions that may arise. We offer per incident pricing, as well as support and maintenance agreements.
